Since authorities and justice are also managing their legal relations electronically, experts from law and informatics have been accompanying this process at the `Deutscher EDV-Gerichtstag` (conference on computers and law) in Saarbrücken.
From September 21-23, high-ranking lawyers, politicians, and computer scientists come together at the University of Saarland to discuss about topics such as `Mass data processing in preliminary investigations ` and `Social networks for lawyers` .In the context of the 20th `EDV Gerichtstag`, the `Dieter Meurer Sponsorhip Prize for Computer Law` will be given. During the conference, at which 600 guests and experts will attend, Saarbrücken-based juris GmbH and the `EDV-Gerichtstag` will award the prize to Dr. Stephan Walter for his dissertation about `Definition Extraction from Conviction Texts` at the Computer Linguistics Department at the Saarland University.
