On June 5th, the furniture producer Mity-Lite with headquarters in the State of Utah has opened its European sales and distribution office in the Saarbrücken "Science Park 2"."Having built up sales structures in 14 countries - USA, South America and the Middle East -already, Europe is the next step in our international growth strategy. We see big chances here", said Randy Hales, Chairman of the Board.

Sales Manager Alberto Da Silva (35) will organize the sales activities in the major European markets of Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy and Spain from here. This brings qualified jobs in Saarland. "We are primarily looking for sales staff and a branch manager. Mity-Lite offers excellent career opportunities in an international, growing company", so Da Silva.

Randy Hales is convinced that in Saarbrücken, Mity-Lite has found the perfect location to meet the expansion plans of his company in Europe: "The new office in Sarland is the ideal springboard. Thanks to the new flight connection from Salt Lake City to Paris and the TGV, we can reach Saarbrücken from Utah more quickly than many cities in the USA. And Saarbrücken is also situated very favorably within Europe."Before, Mity-Lite had considered other locations, "but experiencing the hospitality and the spirit of cooperation here in Saarland, we made up our decision in favor of Saarbrücken very quickly. Another asset of the Saarland was the vicinity of the Leibniz Institute for New Materials with which Mity-Lite is already in a dialogue about nanotechnologically optimized seat covers. The new settlement of Mity-Lite was arranged by gwSaar, the Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation, and the economic promotion agency of the State of Utah. Both have fostered tight relations to each other already since the year 2000.
