August 2008 • Saarland Nanotechnology Conquers Korea
Nanotechnology from Saarland is meanwhile making quite a name for itself outside of Germany. Excellent contacts to first addresses in research and industry have been established in particular with Korea, one of the most industrialized countries in Asia - actively supported by initiatives such as "Saarland Empowering Nano". From August 23-28, a delegation from Saarland has visited the Korean capital of Seoul.

gwSaar, the Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation, organised a Saarland stand for the fifth time in succession at the NanoTech 2008 fair in Tokyo to exhibit products and technologies developed in Saarland in the field of nanotechnology. 180 exhibitors and over 45,000 trade visitors made NanoTech Tokyo the largest nanotechnology fair in the world.
